any good offroad valve stems out there?

I just cut a valve stem on the rocks the other day, is there a company that makes a hardcore stronger, shorter more flex able valve stem?

I remember seeing a recessed stem that a guy was running in the sand. Don't know who makes them, but he was telling me that they worked pretty nice, and were safe from objects on the trail. Only thing was he needed an adapter to fill up the tire.

yeah seriously, it's the cheapest and easiest way. My dad has them on his f-250. they have a 3/8 nut that screws the stem to the wheel. those are also on steel wheels just fyi

Get small valve stems like the 1" ones, they dont stick out at all really or metal ones.

I didn't like the metal ones because they leak after a year or two. There was a nut on the inside of the tire on mine that you had to take the tire off to tighten up. Too much maintenance for me.

Mr. Gasket makes them. I ran them on my Celica for a while. A real pain to fill the tire with air when using this type. Part # 5102

Alternately, you could relocate the valve stems either further in, or on the back side of the wheel. Not hard to do, just requires that you take the tires off, and you have to plug the other hole (obviously).

May not be the best option, just throwing an alternative out there.
