33x10.5 or 33x12.5?

82 Toyota SR5. I'm trying to decide between 33x10.5 or 33x12.5. I've gotta 2" lift on it so I don't want it to look like I've got pizza cutters but I don't want to go too wide and have them rub when I turn the wheel. Also, do you think it'll make that big of a difference in my gas mileage? I'm running 31's now so I'm wondering how big of a hit my gas mileage is going to take.
Thanks.

Id go with the 10.50s. They would pull better and rub less then 12.50s. On the MPG you proble will lose 2 MPG or so.

You think there would be much difference between 33x 10.5 and 32x 11.5?

One benefit of the 10.50s is they can be used on the stock 6" wide wheels, the 12.50s probably will require new wheels.

i'm a big fan of 33x10.50's. that seems to be an ideal width for the weight of these vehicles. 12.50's float a little too much on loose gravel or snow, decreasing traction. also i think you would see a slight difference in gas mileage.

OTOH if you go with 12.5's you will have significantly more choices for tires, and if you need a tire in an emergency a shop will most likely have a 12.5 on the shelf vs. the 10.5 which not many manufacturers produce, and most people swoop up quick since they fit most vehicles w/o mods.
