16.5 wheels

hey, i was looking for some 16.5" wheels for my 85 4runner but could not find any. Does anyone know of a good place to get some. Im not looking for fancy wheels just a simple steel wheel so i can mount some 37/12.50/16.5. Also what is a good backspacing to get i heard 2" but all i could find is 4"+ and what is stock.

Your best bet is going to be get some new tires as 16.5 is a pita size.

15" steelies with 3.75" BS work great and tires are plentiful or even 17".

16.5X37X? Is a military size and you can get surplus for cheap. A guy here is selling the tires $100 a pop. He got them for much less. New tires too boot.

same here.

4wheelparts has some pro comp 16.5x9.75 with 4.5" bs for about 88 bucks. i think those are the ones i'll be going with until i can pony up for the recentered h1's on pirate.

you mean a bead lock?

not for 90 bucks.

search pirate for the recentered h1 wheels, they are about 200 apiece and they have inner/outer beadlock/runflats.

I meant safety bead. No 16.5's have one and that means anything under street pressure you will blow a bead.

the H1's have an internal bead lock so you would be good to go.
