16" or 17" steelies?

I've been searching for almost three hours and can't find a good answer. I have found a good deal on 17" FJ Cruiser rims. However, a lot of people seem to like the 16" rims better. I'm planning on doing the brake upgrade sometime this summer also. And will also do only 33" instead of the 35" tires.

What do you think? Is there a reason the 16" would be better? Thanks in advance.

Need to make sure whatever you get clears your calipers. I know on my Tundra that the 18" rims are a necessity and only certain 17" rims will clear the calipers.
