looks great Ian but I'd get the top cover on the trailer and hide the "shaggin' wagon" over the door our the gf might not be happy and then you would'nt get to "get happy"...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0j6GYS-Beyk

but you'll still know it's there... and have to cover the stupid self satisfied giggle every time she walks through the door... if you loan it to your dad let him in on the joke too... heh heh heh...

picked up some aluminum roof coating and sealant/adheasive to finish off the roof (externally, anyway). so sometime in the next week or two, i shouldn't have to store it with the tarp over top. though i probably will as cheap insurance...

Great pics! That looked like a 'Comfort Inn Suites' surrounded by envious onlookers that are car camping! haha. Seriously though, great work, Ian... Very glad to see you enjoying all that hard work... NICE

Wow, what a RARE coincidence, indeed! I see so many REALLY NICE, light, CRAZY 'creature comfort' loaded Pop ups and low-pro's now adays when out and about.... But GOOD LORD, THE PRICES ON THEM!!!! And, .... a few I've spoken too say "Yeah, they cut so many corners now trying to make them lighter and lighter.... the parts are just not as solid". Not sure how true that is... but I would imagine they know, considering they've HAD older ones like you have right now. that thing is looking SO MUCH BETTER, Ian.... What a great find! LOTS OF WORK, I know, but here you are, USING IT! And it didn't cost you 7,879$, USED, like many of the new ones! hahaha.

now that my life is just a bit less hectic, i'm going to continue work on the roof this coming weekend. i'm going to pick up some more roof coating, a few more tubes of sealant, and a roof vent or two. as long as the outside of the roof is watertight, i can take a nice, leisurely approach to the interior. i already have lights, but could stand to get a few more. the inside of the trailer is going to be very utilitarian, meaning thin plywood that i can secure wires and/or lights to. i won't be skimping on insulation, though. that'll be a one-inch layer to fit between the ribs, and another (1/2 to 1 inch) layer on top of that. to make it easier for future and planned wiring, i won't be trying to hide the wires. instead, i'm going to use plastic raceway like this:

for roof vents, i'm not doing anything fancy, just a one-each vent, and maybe i'll splurge for a fan:

lighting will be fun (i actually mean that... i like wiring things up). i have strings of these already, and they are bright as all get-out:

though, i think it'd be cool to use this:

anyway, that's all for now. i have a hankerin' for the outdoors, so this trailer needs to get back in shape.

Looking pretty good Ian... I wonder how bright the inside would be if you did the entire ceiling in those LED strips...

Utilitarian is OK but I would go luxo swish... use good one side Plywood stained nice... hide wiring as well as you can. Lots of insulation... quadraphonic sound... nice cut pile wool carpet on the floor or hardwood... you got to remember it's got to look good to get the honeys...
