Tires?
Are these the tires you got? I have the exact same pop-up and need new tires for it:

bad news, guys.
well, not that bad. rather, an oversight. i went out to look at my trailer roof the other day, and found a lot of the side seams, where the skin meets the trim, to have pulled apart. when building the roof, i didn't account for expansion of the skin. the top seams are fine, but i can't say the same for the edges. so what i'm going to ave to do is cut slits on the sides, overlap a bit, and seal with the tar/foil tape. it should retain its water-rappelling abilities, but just won't look as neat. oh well, live and learn.

all right; the roof is sealed up better. i took it over to "my" garage and popped it open a bit. i took care of the big splits in the roof, and fixed the wiring a bit (turned out to be a bad ground)
i have an upcoming trip to the beach later this month, so i went ahead and finished up a few things. first, the hitch was too low, especially with the truck loaded down at the same time. so i took another drop i had lying around and swapped out balls last night:
that should pick it up since i did the axle flip
the next thing was to finalize the plug situation. i wanted separate turn signals on my trailer, so i added a second plug (the 3 wire one) with ground, left turn, and right turn. the truck has the same thing, except the mixed stop/turn signals are just stop lights. it all works out well.

Ian, excellent pictures! Also, just as important to mention... Really nice work. I agree, it looks really sick be perfectly level like that... Which is actually better for everything in regards to wear... Nice work on that as well. Good to see you chilling there on the beach man..., any detailed pointers or should I say bullet points as far as your trip & the camper use? I thought it was really Kush!

pointers? just a few:
-have somewhere you can go in the event of a strong storm. i had 2 strong thunder storms pass over, and had to spend one night at a friend's house. your tow vehicle will also work.
-if possible, put eye-bolts on either side to attach guy lines to. in strong winds, all the stress is put on the lift arms.
-in the summer, it's soooo niiiice to have working air conditioning. mine from ebay worked flawlessly, and made things so comfortable.
-spare tire; get one. i ran over a ratchet strap on the freeway and had to change out tires. having the spare saved my ass.
-an awning would have been nice, but probably caused a lot of problems in the storms.
-if the area isn't well lit, make sure your porch light works. i lit mine up (retrofitted with the leds) and it lit up the whole area.
-if possible, fold up your camper when it's not raining. that way, you won't have to dry it out when you get home.
anyway, that's my experience. rain ingress was never a factor, and the roof held up fine. i had a great time, even though i had to leave a day early (weather became cooler than normal)

Wow, it's been a while since I updated this thread...
I got the truck's engine swap done at the end of last year, and took the camper out once since then. It was a nice weekend trip.
The trailer is for sale. I'm moving, so this is the perfect time to sell it. I'd love to sell it to someone on the forum, as I know it'll get love (if only for parting out).
