Nice pic of half-dome mtn. but I'm wondering... who stole the other half? looking below there is no obvious sign of any "slip" or debris field which you would expect even this many years later... unless the slip was quarried away before they made it a park...

He's posing because it was a control burn and training. He's in the Coast Guard and works part time as a Firefighter. He stationed in Maine. He has his FireFighter 1 & 2 licenses and He's an E.M.T.. I'm very proud of him.

Yeah, it's really nice up there. It's great to get away from school and work to spend some time with no internet or cell phones. Spent a week up there the last two summers and will probabably be going back in May. It's really great.

I've seen it, and driven through the one close by, and I live 1200 miles away.

I've spent the $15(I think) on the drive thru tree in Leggett. Not quite worth it.....maybe for $5.....maybe.

Volcano Popocatepetl taken from the town of Amecameca, Mexico:

We were able to drive part of the way up the volcano, but part of the road was closed due to the volcano being more active than usual. Our group was within the evacuation zone for the week we were there. Pretty fun!

Today, the old Wagon Road, a 22 degree slope on the North face of Mt. Hood going to historic Cloud Cap Inn shown, elevation 6,000'. The glacier in the background is where three climbers perished last Winter. Only one has been found, the others were last heard from while digging a snow cave:

This is where I worked. Don't think it'll get much better.
