Whatever's around the house. Then it was Columbia Crest Grand Estate, but anything else worth drinking works well. Definitely not the small bottles of cooking wine that are mostly salt.
Hickory chips are my fav for beef, but I also use mesquite, alder, apple, cherry and pecan alone or combined depending on the dish.
Vidalia onions are great, tho my favs are Walla-Wallas, sort of locally grown.
There were leftovers, so to replace precious bodily fluids I sauteed the smoked salmon...

...and made omlettes with a dill-chive sour cream sauce inside for brunch:

She approved.

I never, ever use cooking wine.... if I don't drink it I don't use it...
that being said i do have a bottle of Morroccan Cabsauv that did'nt cellar very well [oxidized] that I'm thinking of using as a marinade for some skirt steak or some other lesser cut to break down the sinews a bit... still might drink it also it tastes a bit like a dry sherry...
maybe we should start a recipe thread what do you think?

Recipe thread? Sure, though I wouldn't have much to add it would be fun to read other ideas.

This guy was an amazing skier... Especially for being behind a 15ft whaler...

My favorite hike, the Bee Hive.

View from the top...

Its not for the faint at heart, but the rewards are amazing...

There is even a beaver lake at the top to cool off in...

Is ^that^ a Celebrity station wagon? I can't quite tell what to make of it. Front wheel drive, why? I bet it's a sedan actually, it doesn't look long enough.
Here's a 1990 wagon. Looks similar.

The Idhao side of Lolo is some of my favorite pavement to drive, anywhere!
Gotta love having a nimble car when you see the sign near the summit that reads:
WARNING
Winding road next 77 miles!
I remember driving that stretch before it had guard rails - let alone concrete k-rails!
