im in the process of putting a 67 327 sb in my 87 4runner with a 4 speed granny tranny and a 205 t case....when i put my body in what is all going to be in the way i think the fire wall will hit but i don't know what else. im also putting chevy axles underneath it i as thinking about 4 link the front leaf the rear what are your suggestions on suspension?

Are you using electric fans? Im guessing so. On mine I was able to move it far wngough forward that I didnt have any cleance problems. I am also using an ls enigne, they area little smaller than the gen 1's. You will more than likely have a clearance problem with the distributor and possibly the transmission. I ran a 3 inch body lift just to give me a little room to play with so I wouldnt have to cut the body.

yeah i planned on running elec.fans and i planned on doing a 3 inch body lift when i put the body on the frame. was your frame strong enough to hold up to the sb?

THe frames on these seem to be the stongest part. They are way over built for what they come wiht and so far it has held up great. I will be throughly testing it this coming weekend so ill let you know then but right now I am more worried about the axles than I am the frame.

It will be close to the fire wall. like 1/2 inch maybe less but mine doesnt hit. Heres a pic of my 87 its close but hasnt hit yet.
