haha yes it is a ford 5.0L 302ci motor out of a 93 mustang LX and why would i want a ranger when i have a runner
see im a V8 guy i like my big engines and high horse power and when combined with the indestructible toyota i will end up with a sweet beast.

as for progress i have all the connectors from the 3.0 disconnected and just waiting for my friend to return my engine hoist so i can pull it out and prep engine compartment for the new power house

I have kicked around the idea of putting a 5.0 HO into a yota. I have 2 fox Mustangs, would love to have that punch on the trail

Good Day

I am 95% complete with my 5.0L ford Swap into my 84 SR5. If you need info just ask. Some of the details are available on my website here --> funfactorfab.ca

Mine is an A9R 88 5.0 motor. I used a aluminuim radiator designed for a sprint car and a kit from Northwest for the bell housing and clutch. I made custom headers and a complete custom stainless exhaust system.

haha. to think that was the last time i got really drunk... my limit lately has been 3 beers. and aside from the charger game on sunday, i hadnt drank at all in a month or so. no urge to.
are you going to do any kind of performance mod on that 5.0 before you install it?

probably not right of the bat i want to see how is runs in my runner then i'll decide where to go but eventually the plan is to have a 500hp power house but i have to beaf up everything from suspension and axles to trans and tcase before i build the motor up.

NICE MAN!!! good luck. i'm planning on doing the same thing. i lived in south dakota and have an '84 4runner, i had a motor out of a '89 GT and the NP435. never got the advance adapter. Then i decided to move to alaska and trailered the runner up here but left my motor down there. Me and a buddy put one these 5.0's in his '85 runner and holy !!, that thing was off the hook with power. your going to love it after you get it all done. keep it up.
