Brake booster question?
Now that the mercedes diesel is in, what are you using for the brake booster. Did you use the diesel air pump? Or a japanese diesel air pump for brake boost?

all stock Toyota 4runner parts a.t.m on big red ....
little bit of new info, I picked up an 89 v6 gen1 2 door 4runner
and I'm slowly working on it, (got a block lift in the rear last night)
now gotta crank some torsion bars....
so there have been talks about a new plate possibly being made
but I'm gonna step it down a little and go with the 4cly Benz for mine
more or less to have a little more space so i don't have to move my rad
then a med to big turbo added later

also with the new plate I'm gonna be anal and make some new motor mounts that line up with the toy stuff to make it a little bit more of a bolt in kit, there will be lots of pics with info and descriptions added once the build begins, if all goes well there should be an almost bolt in kit for the 4cly Benz motor by mid spring to summer .....

didn't know there was a 4cyl benz diesel lol
i'd like to be able to run 75mph down the highway(and have lots of power left) on a set of 35's with 4.88 gears and get over 25mpg with a diesel.
possible with Mercedes 5cyl?

the only issue i have with the 5 cyl is the space, if the truck was a v6 your gonna need to move the trans back, your gonna need a 2 inch bodylift to clear the top of the motor, and that was on an ifs beast ill post some pics of the two trucks we've done the swap on, there both having there own issues.
sas, 3 inch body lift, 7 inch springs
.....
i cant find any of the ifs beast atm

Hey crazy instead of lifting the whole truck 2" just to clear the hood why not cut out the hood and add one of those "power bulges". Not the ugly dragster square dog house style but the aerodynamic GT style. maybe with a cooling intake like an SC taco. just to help with airflow around the engine. Going this way you probably would'nt even have to go the full 2". All you'd need do is raise the already flared centre section of the hood the required amt. and you'd have a semi stock appearance.
Just an idea...
