Supercharged 1UZ 4runner

Been working on a new project for the past few weeks. Here is what I got so far:

1UZ motor from 1991 LS400
custom bellhousing and flywheel
6 puck clutch
R150F transmission
M112 supercharger mounted atop a custom intake with build in water/air intercooler.

Runs at about 6psi right now. Easily breaks traction just by giving a little blip of the throttle in 1st gear.

That thing looks like a lot of fun!

cool .. who made the intake .. can you take some closer and better pics of it .. i plan on superchargeing mine , but with a smaller m90 ..

i want to make it fit under the hood ..
according to this site it can be done 90mm will fit under my hood.

im gonna try and make my own intake .. well at least spot welded together then have a pro finish the welding up.

Don't even bother with an M90. Trust me, that was my first mistake.

I made the intake, but I would not build one like Joel. I build ont similar for my M90 setup, there are 5 axis that have to line up perfect or it won't seal. This is why my second go around did not touch the lower runners.

If you want a lower manifold, you will need to by the one that bulletcars makes.

Yea i really dont see myself paying $2000 just for an intake ..

i dont need it that much .. i have a few intakes laying around and think it would be a fun challenge ..wasting up to $150 in aluminum just to see if i can is not really a problem .

i want it to fit under the hood and want to use the stock computer..
from the little ive read about it , the m90 works perfect for that .
again thats what i think ive been able to come up with with what ive read over on lextreme .

what ecu you running?
why you against the m90 , other seem to do ok with it for just a little more power?

Really just seems like a cool ,fun project to take on , and something to learn about. My on the job training kind of thing.

Thanks man .

My last SC project used the M90. Stock pulley gave no boost. I had to go with the 2.4" pulley to get 6psi. The problem with running the M90 with that size of pulley, is you have to overspin the M90. The parisitic loss is just amazing, and I was increadibly dissapointed in the M90. Check out my other vids on youtube of the SC400 with the M90. Only ran a 14 flat at 100mph with a 50 shot of nitrous. It was at 4200 feet elevation, but still, I expected more.

wow .. i just went to your website supracharged and then took a look at the other videos on youtube also.. your a pro man... been doing this for a while ..

yea i dont know squat about superchargers and turbos .. just want to learn and like a challenge.
but damn , i dont want to have the supercharger stick out the top like that ..not looking to race it either just want some more power ..

i gonna read up some more on your swaps and others and see what happens .

thanks again and congrats .

BTW, the 1st gear burnout was just the throttle, no clutch action there. Clutch was fully engage from a 5mph roll.

EBAY $75 6puck for the win. Factory PP.

I still have to be carefull with it. If I let it slip at all, it won't grab. Need a better plate and it would hold more.
