Hi, Planning an engine swap,, need some tech advice please. putting a 1992 22re in a 1987 truck, what will i need to change or look for?
the 92 is a 22re automatic trans, 2x4, the 87 is 22re 5 speed stickshift 4x4.
I know oil pan, any other changes? thanks guys!

 

Is your truck a stick? If so you will need to change the flywheel out. Im sure some of the wiring is different from the 87 to 92. There are alot of things that could be different. I would start with looking at both engines and see what is different between the two!
