yeah lets get some details here..

 

Well I thought the pics were self explanatory but anyway some details.
2uz is out of a 02 tundra 4x4, I bought a whole truck so I have the everything which makes it much easier learning from my past experiences with motor swaps. To this point which I think is about halfway I have had to customize about 3 things: motor mounts, transcrossmemeber, and driverside exhaust manifold. Major things left to do are wiring which I plan to do myself, d-shafts and front end which is going to be a 4runner conversion. Minor things are getting a tundra ac condenser and one ac line that might have to be customized, maybe some paint for the new front. In addition while the motor and trans were out I decided to swap the trans to an 04 tundra and transfercase to an 03 from a sequoia for it's fulltime 4x4 ability. The sequoia transfercase cost me about a day because I had to pull it apart to modify the shifter location because it's different.
Anyway so far I am at about $2k in this swap.

 

I think he meant details regarding the swap, not just some pictures of a motor in a truck.

And that mirror isn't USDM, so fill us in on that too

 

All the pics that I took before the ones I have posted where lost when my Iphone crashed, I can try to take some pics of what I had to modify, but I am currently very busy with six summer classes so everything is going to be postponed for a while.

The little mirror is because my fenders are from a jdm 4runner. I think it looks cool but I'm afraid some haters might rip it off.

 

im looking to do the 4.7 swap on my 91 pickup. im trying to find a full donor vehicle to start things off. Any advice?

 

the recycle yards in denver have a good supply of 4.7's I got a 2002 complete w/ trans for 1600
