Alright guys, don't know how many of you know engines further than Yota's but I'm a gearhead to the fullest and I easily belive the 8 inch holding up to an old GNX Turbo 6, reason being is SIMPLE- those turbo'd sixer's are famous for being dog's till about the 600ft mark meaning he was taking off SLOW - think stock mustang's beating it to the 1/8th mile slow - this is my expereince with them. Now going off what he said - he doesnt' expect it to hold the BB chevy - and rightly so, because that will introduce torque alot lower.

To put this in perspective - I have broken a built rearend with 415 hp on a 4800 rpm dump with dead hook - however on the other side of the spectrum, I've ran a 1100 hp LT4 BUILT that ran on the stock rear end due to the power delivery, but we never left the line higher than 1500 rpms due to babying rear end, and rear suspension wasn't set up properly.

Just FYI, if you knwo your weak link, you can change your driving style, and once your rolling, the rear end will hold it alot better than you think.

Not saying it's true, just saying in my expereince I know it can be true, and I honestly have no reason not to belive him if he's got the ability to wedge a big block Twin setup in a tiny Toyota...
