Rear end/suspension are 8inch stock with a spool and locator bars. I've very good luck with this setup so far up to 1100hp.

haha no way you're doing 2200hp OR 1100hp on stock rear axles and just adding a 'spool' ......

spool just makes it worse ..

Trans is a powerglide and gear ratio is the STOCK 3.41 gear set. Tires are 28/10.5 mickey thompsons. Here is a vid with the 1100hp V6 and stock rear end - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eDr83...eature=related

wicked, much props man. ........ and tho it sounds nuts i can beleve the stock rear holdin up. i friend of mine had a 65 nova with a solid 950-1000hp blown sbc. it had a bone stock 10 bolt rearend that had been welded up and he never broke it, and he ran it hard. he did however eventually put a bling new currie 9" under it.

'65 Nova rear end is slightlt different than a Toyota 8" rear.

I, again, call for PROOF of this. So far this point has been avoided.

I have no need to prove a thing to anyone. It is what it is. I could take a picture but how's that going to help? Call Troy from Hillside Auto wrecking (formely Cal Mini Truck). He sponsors the rear end setup.

Why do you need a sponsor if it's stock and you can pick up a rear end for $40 at a junkyard?

guess I can put that 523ci twin turbo in my truck i've always been dreamin about and go wheelin next year... woot...

Just to clarify, that is a 1/8 mile drag strip at Irwindale.

Awesome vid, and I had seen that one before.

IMHO, you DO have something to prove, because you come in here claiming the stock toyota rear end can handle 1100hp, and we have always seen otherwise. Heck, a narrowed tubbed currie 9" often can't handle 1100hp.

Oh i get it meow.

I heard they use 8" rears in big rigs as well. Hey, if they can handle 2200hp stock, they can move 30 tons!
