1UZ Flywheel Options Please!!!!!

Hi all! I am in a bind. I need a flywheel for my motor swap and don't want to spend a fortune on clutch parts. I have been searching for a few months now and have found very little info. I have a 1991 toyota pickup 4x4 MT with the R150F transmission. I purchased a 1990 LS400 for the motor. I purchased a bellhousing from Thailand. I have seen a few people using different flywheels with modifications but they are not specific on the modifications that need to be done. I know most options need the 8 mounting holes enlarged for the lexus crank.

Option 1 that I have seen
3VZ flywheel needs 8 holes elongated and material removed from the back of the flywheel I think. Need more info PLEASE.

Option 2
3SGE flywheel needs 8 holes elongated, gear teeth need to be chamfered don't know if material needs to be removed from back of flywheel. More Info Needed.

Option 3
3SGTE flywheel needs 8 holes elongated, gear teeth need to be chamfered don't know if material needs to be removed from back of flywheel. This should hold a pressure plate with more clamping force. More info Please.

I've also heard people using the 1KZ flywheel, but I think this would be hard to find in the states.

I do not want to remove and weld the ring gear from the flex plate to anything. Least amount of modification as possible would be best for me.

PLEASE HELP!!! Thanks!

take the spacer from your flex plate, your 3vz flywheel and head to a machine shop..
i believe i took 5/16 off the back of mine but anymore it will contact to engine.
the spacer is your parten for the machine shope to "stretch" the holes to..
running the stock (3vz)clutch and flywheel for around two years now and its my dd.

Thanks for the info. Did you need to chamfer the teeth on the flywheel? Are you running a stronger pressure plate? I had a standard clutch from the parts store and in reverse I smoked the clutch a little. Less then 1000 miles on new parts, flywheel, disk and pressure plate. That was on a sickly 3.slow. Maybe 70% power from the motor due to timing, compression, knock sensor, fuel issues... I'm thinking I need a pressure plate with more clamping pressure. Any thoughts?

Thanks birdduck for the info and quick replies! I will take your info into consideration. I will probably run that setup, but I would like to hear more options from others that have this setup please.
