Looks good! That bobbed bed looks perfect. Are you still going to get a exo built for it?

Those were my thoughts too. Besides, I was so happy with the mechanical performance that it offset any bad thoughts about the body damage. I knew it would get dinged up....just not so fast.

Ahhh looks like you were having too much fun! One thing about the V8, you'll be driving a LOT faster which can get us into trouble. I'm glad it was a low speed tip over. How much air did you have in those tires? Looks like they would bounce you right over.

No videos yet. I guess my friends an I are too poor to buy one.

I had about 10 psi. I think bouncing is what caused the flop. That hill is a lot more off camber than it looks.

Just went on it's 3rd wheeling trip since finishing the swap and the power steering is definitely becoming a problem. Mainly going down hill. The Lexus pump just isn't as strong as the truck's was. If I keep it in a lower gear to raise the rpms it helps but hydro assist is a must if going any bigger than a 35" tire. I think the auto transmission changes the way you have to wheel a bit too. Before when I had a stick and needed more power assist you could feather the clutch a bit to get the rpms up without increasing velocity. That don't work with a automatic.

I guess I need to either speed up my plans for my linked FJ80 front axle swap or just install the hydro assist on the current axle.

Mightymouse has a really good camera that I think does video too but I was the trail leader the other day and I'm also kind of impatient. That equals no movies.

I've been trying to get another buddy to go with us for some time now that is really into making amateur wheeling videos but his truck has been down forever and my gf gets first dibs on the passenger seat. Hope to get out again before christmas.
