Got the truck home this weekend. Now all I need to do is get a windshield installed and I can re-assemble everything.

Don't know yet. I'm probably gonna put some street miles on if first. I need to get it inspected and licensed.

No. I've been too busy with work. All I did was wetsand and buff the paint since the last pic. I also found out that factory Toyota window trim is expensive. It did somehow develope a coolant leak at the water pump. I'm kicking myself now because I didn't replace it when I did the timing belt.

I still have an exo cage to build too. I'll post as soon as something changes.

Whats up Mr toyminator hows it going ?

hey im gonna redo my exhaust here pretty soon . do you happen to remember what parts you used when making your exhaust ? i know its a long shot , been awhile but thought id ask before ordering the piping.

i think im gonna run it like you have it .. right now mine crosses over from the passenger behind the transfer case , but my ebrake takes up alot of the room along with the horse collar crossmember deal.
so the way you crossed it from the passenger to the driver under the adapter looks like it will work nicely.

I just got a 2.5" mandrel bend kit from Jegs and a couple of straight pipes. I got the 2 to 1 piece from them too. The 3" stuff I got was left over from a universal kit from Flowmaster that a friend gave to me. I crossed it over right at the adapter and it seems to work ok. I haven't had any prolonged usage of it yet though. The muffler was a used 40 series Flowmaster I got used on Craigslist.

I think 2.25" to 3" would probably work just as good and take up less room and the 40 series flowmaster is too loud for my taste.

Yeah this truck looked like it was nearly put back together and back on the road. I hope things are ok. I heard mention of an exo skeleton.

I've had a few hurdles in getting my exo cage built. the first builder I waited for several months for him start the project and once I got it to him he got it partially done and then let it sit for two months. I ended up just getting it back and had to find another builder that would build from what was already started. I'm supposed to take it to this builder this weekend. We'll see. I really wish I would have just bought the bender and notcher and did it myself.

Here are a couple of pics of the partially completed exo

Them bends are really tight, worried about flexing and getting a rub spot all over the paint? Or is there some kind of camera illusion haha. Great build btw!

The only v6 I considered was a 96-03 Toyota 3.4 v6 and it was twice the cost to source the engine and the Lexus V8 is all aluminum and 60 pounds lighter than the v6. Plus I love the cool factor of the Lexus motor and the v8 32 valve rumble through a 40 series flowmaster is music to my ears.
