Well I officially have a running paper weight. The stock crossover will not allow me to bolt the slave cylinder on. I don't know how guys are using the stock crossover.

I do know that Toyota changed the manifolds and crossover to a round one pipe design in 99 or 2000.

I have 2 options: buy ORS's crossover for $400 + dollars or pull the motor and cut the stock crossover up and flip it to the other side like SAS'dToy did.

I got my stock crossover back out (what a pain - IT IS possible to get the crossover in and out with the motor in the truck). I'm going to try and make a jig so I can cut the crossover up and make it driver side drop. Wish me luck guys.

I'm trying to have this damn thing drivable so we can have a 4 door stock'ish vehicle to haul the kid around in.

I need this damn thing drivable and dependable. So I need some time to work out bugs before my little princess decides she wants to come into the world (that could be ANY day now).

My plan on the crossover is to cut it up and rotate what I can then put a small piece of flex piping in there to allow me some *F* up room. If I took the motor out I think I could cut the crossover up and make it work without any flex tubing.

Anyone see any concerns with using flex piping?

C-mon man!!!

Flex tubing's only going to be a "temporary" solution. If you're gonna bother to do it, do it right.

..somebody cue up the inspirational title music to Star Wars, while I step up onto my soapbox for this next part...

"Da..Da..Da DaDaDa DaDaDa...Da..Da.Da.DaDaDa...Da.DaDa" Here...

In another galaxy, far-far away, a guy named "4RnrRick" built a "ship" known as "Quasimodo"
(Millenium Falcon bit, get it!!) where, after a lot of work, cheated/waited and used flex pipe,
and guess what, it was "OK" for a bit, but ultimately, he has had to replace it.

Do you really wanna go through another batch of scrapes/cuts/bruises in less than a year,
when you have to replace the worn piping?

C-mon, you're better/smarter than that, take a break, let the bundle of joy arrive,
and when the 'rents come to spoil their grandchild, take the time to get things done right.

Trust me, I'm sure all here would say to do it right, if for nothing else, so you're lady will have the piece of mind knowing it's a solid rig, that once done, won't get anybody pulled over for loud exhaust, or wake the "sleeping baby" while driving.

You've done everything so far to the best you could, saving a lot of dough probably and having a good time doing it.

*Neil Armstrong didn't go all the way to the moon, to decide to go out in a pair of Chuck Taylor's, right?

*Am I right here?

Went to the doctor today about the baby. They said they might have to induce labor (doesn't look like she's in any kind of hurry to come out).

Dropped the truck off at the exhaust shop. Should be done tomorrow.

Here's a picture of the other project I've been working on and MOM. I hate painting and putting up wall paper borders. Wood flooring and wood blinds are next.
