Vac hoses stumped...
okay so the time has come for my bi-yearly smog. i need some assistant on hose layout for the 5vz. i've attached some pictures, and believe i have everything correct but one hose, which is a little check valve on it.... so where does it go, and also what's broken off my vsv plug.

I believe that is just how they look. for the vsv. the vacuum tube coming from the front of the intake is for the 4wd vsv's I believe. And the top of the throttle is for egr stuff if I recall. looks almost like that host was put there to stop a vacuum leak from leaving them un plugged. both of mine are plugged right now.

So the line that's come from the front of the intake manifold should plug, with the check valve should plug into some kind of 4WD VSV. Oh damn. I don't have that at all. Maybe i can put a rubber nipple over it and call it a day. And the REF will pass the truck.

I don't see why not. if you don't have the Automatic differential disconnect. But I am positive the front one on the intake is for 4wd. Mine has a tee there with the elbow going down to the power steering pump idle up vsv or whatever it is.
