TMZ runaround

so i know when some of us heard of an guy doin 3.4 swap harnesess we all thought it'd be a good idea ordering from tmz cause ors was out of business and he was charging half the price so i like some of u who wanted one went ahead and ordered from tim and gladly sent him 500 cash cept that was only in may when i did that and it is august i call text email even pm and no response so my question is is there anyone else who have recieved their order or who got there money back i jus want my harness or better yet my 500 so i can go buy one to do it my self cause waiting for 4 months for a part im not even sure ill even see so my advice to you guys who are thinkin about ordering from tmz jus think again cause a weeks wait for yourself to make one is better than waiting 4 months for somone else to make one.......
so i know tim has a life outside of YT like a job family and other such but i think 4 months is enough time to get some orders done im not tryin to be a dick i jus want my money or my damn harness cause all my S/C 3.4 can do is sit there and collect dust

I know Caddydaddy got his. But other then that there is a thread very much like this one. I had sent him a message concerning my wiring diagram and never heard anything back. Thats the only dealing with him I have done.

i got mine from him, but it did take well over a month and a half to get it. also 3 out of the 8 wires were in the wrong spot, so i might as well have done it myself.
sorry to hear about your troubles sc yota. if you payed through paypal isnt there a way to get your money back by contacting paypal?

I used to do harness's, but no longer feel that i can, because of my inablity to do them in a timely manner. So if u got 6 months. and $600 and its a mated ecu and harness. I may be interested especially in the winter months. No June, July, August, Sept. I did Bamf_CT2004's which took way to long to complete.

BTW u paid him 500 and he was sourcing the harness. or does he build them from scratch?

my donor was i think a 98 or 97 4runner i bought my motor and sc for 900 and it was a auto so i need a ecu and harness that will fit and it has to be a manual if it will fit the auto motor

I also ordered an engine harness, ECU, and conversion harness from Tim. I sent him $275 to get started on it and still havn't received anything. I ordered it back in April. Out of the numerous times I have called him, I have only talked to him once. He said my harness was almost done and he would ship it soon. Yeah right! I sent funds via Paypal and went to their resolution center but they only get involved if you dispute the transaction within 45 days of sending the money. I sent a dispute message to Tim through Paypal, but if he doesn't have a computer it's not going to do any good. This sucks for guys like me, SCYota, and others who were duped. Live and learn, I guess. I hope Tim gets wind of these complaints and makes things right. Until then I will just have to source the parts elsewhere and do the work myself. Just thought I'd chime in and let SCYota know you're not alone.

I noticed this guy TMZ has always been shady in the way he does things , To bad you guys got burnt this way from someone here . Keep trying to contact him I guess . I know there was another member on here that was always defending tmz when a thread like this came up , I wonder where he is now.

Good Luck !!

I would bet money that TMZ and the other member were the same guy. Seriously, when you see people that first post a thread up asking a bunch of silly question about a swap that is common sense and then start a new thread claiming to be experts, that might raise a flag. Not to mention that he wasnt apart of any forum. Not on ttora or pirate or even part of a club but yet he was a self proclaimed expert.

Harley, that Toyonlyswaps.com site is from the same guys I posted info about. The guys I found on Craigslist that advertised the swaps.

For anybody's info, I've met Justin when I had him weld a conversion crossover for me, so he's a real guy. He got one done within a couple days so all I had to do was bring him mine as a core. I had a wiring issue at the time, too, and he told me not to hesitate to call him if I couldn't figure it out myself. Pretty good guy from the dealings I've had with him.

its too bad because if this tmz guy actually knows what he is doing he could make some good money and help a bunch of people out along the way.
