Hi Dewbro

Also take a look here in my thread. I showed the part you need from Radio Shack so there is no confusion. between 10ohm and 10kohm for those that are not familiar with resistors.

I'm gonna do the tach tomorrow. Today I got the heater hoses hooked up and radiator hoses. Got the starter in And had an issue with it. I had to wire the plug for it directly from the starter relay.. Has anyone else done this? I got most of the dash wires repinned. I'm a little nervous with the fourth plug on the right of the ECM. Not sure quite what to do with this..

there is a large gauge wire in the passenger kick panel although I cant remember the color (black/white i think) that is a starter wire-goes hot when starter engaged

I couldnt find anything in the 3.4 harness so i simply connected the that with a 10ga wire and ran it out the starter along with the 3.4 harness. Just cut a little slit in the rubber grommet. Also, the STA terminal on the ECM needs that same wire to be ran to it as well.

what 4th plug are you speaking of?

Just grab that large wire I was talking about in the passenger kick panel, a wire that you will connect to the STA lead off the ECM, and a 10-12ga wire to the starter trigger join them altogether and all will be good.

Bad news. I thought I had everything hooked up right, it wont run. It turns over but doesn't run. I cant get power to my ECM for some reason. I know the pins are in the right place. Im getting really pissed off. Been at it all day and I am about ready to scrap the thing. Also I still cant figure out what to do with the starter. Right now I just have a lead going to it and touch it to the power supply to turn it over. Getting really frustrated right now. Please help

What do you mean tht you cant get power to the ECM? Batt, ign, STA?

Honestly I dont know, but maybe it wont start unless you have voltage to the STA terminal and by jumping the starter, do you?

Update, with the help of one of the techs at my uncles shop, we figured the starter out and... IT RUNS!! We got the power sources figured out. But a few minor things,
Fuel pump: we couldn't figure out where the circuit opening relay for it was, so it is wired to.. Im not sure the tech did that part. But it is always on when ign. is in ON position. Hopefully figure that out tomorrow.
Vacuum hose: There are a few vacuum hoses im not sure of. The first is on the drivers side rear throttle body, it is probably a 1/4 maybe a little bigger. There are also a couple little ones on the back of the throttle body on the DS. Then the PCV and one more nipple on the airbox (I think those might go together)
Dash Lights: The cruise light and rear ABS is flashing at me for some reason
O2 sensor: How do you go about fooling the rear one behind the cat?
Other than that runs like a champ!!

Awesome! Glad you got it.

Please do NOT leave your pump off the ignition. In case of a roll over you will pump gas everywhere.

circuit opening relay is above the passsenger kick panel. remove glove box to get to it.

the other stuff i dont know because the truck isnt here. I can look tomorrow if you dont get some info by then.

I used the 3.4 relay instead of the 3.0 one. I know that lots of guys have used the 3.0 with success but I just felt that the 3.4 relay was much simpler.

If you do not have access to the 3.4 relay then just grab a regular Bosch style relay from any stereo shop, Best Buy, etc. If you go to Best Buy, go directly to the INSTALL BAY. Not inside the store.

Demonkid gave a part number for a replacement 3.4 relay from Autozone or something for like $5 which is cheaper than you will pay for a Bosch brand relay. Check that out here.

Wire like this:

Sounds like you already found the fuel pump wire but just in case...........its in the pass kick panel. Light blue if I remember right off the top of my head.

Dont know if you have been reading this thread but the COR is discussed here.

Good luck. Post back if you have issues.

Good news, i got the fuel pump wired correctly. All I had to do was wire the G-Y wire going to FC on the computer. Solved my problem quick. I also got the hood on, I didnt have to cut it either! Just pulled the insulation out and cut the bracing, so no big hole like I was thinking. My brother is just finishing up welding the exhaust and a few more wires to figure out, hopefully get my dash lights to quit blinking, and I'll be good to go. Oh and I need to do the tach mod also. Oh do you know how to trick the second O2 sensor? I don't think I will be able to get the bung welded in for a while..

Cool I will get to radioshack tomorrow. Having a little trouble keeping her cool, when I drive it is perfect, a little less that half. But when I stop it warms up a little. I was thinking those two cooling fans in front off the radiator, but I cant find them in my diagrams. And a little issue with the exhuast, I cant get the think to seal up good between the crossover and downpipe. I was thinking about making a gasket out of aluminum or maybe copper seeing as how they are soft metals? Questions, comments, concerns? Any input is appreciated!!
