I am positive they can do it as long as you can explain to them what you are wanting. I email Toyotaonlyswaps and they e-mail me back the same day. There plug and play harness is a bit spendy but I might get it from them any way that way all I have to do is find a matching engine and ecu gotta get my 4runner sold first.

Yeah im doing my own wiring for sure. Its just the exhaust that I am going to have a shop do. I was only looking into the wiring when I was going to swap the engine into my 93 pickup and only had a week of downtime between jobs to get it all done.

Haha im not scared to do it at all. Im always down for trying anything. I just don't have a welder or any welding experience.
If I had a welder I would totally make my own after messing around with it a little.

Going good just got the engine pulled from the tacoma today so tomorrow I will be getting the engine all ready to go into the 4runner. Pulled the e locker yesterday. Got a bunch of parts in the mail today and yesterday too.

Just got my exhaust crossover. I had my flywheel resurfaced today and got my clutch and pressure plate from marlin crawler yesterday. I also got an e locker gaurd so a rock cant take it out along with the studs for installing it into my axle housing. Picked up a couple of drill bits and taps. Now I just need some exhaust gaskets and a new rear main seal. Then to drill out for the dipstick. Gosh it looks tight from above to get a drill in there. I hope it will fit?

drilling hole

I used a 18v Ryobi right-angle 3/8" cordless drill and it worked like a charm, plenty of muscle to do the job and it fit in the space prefectly. I first tried a big 1/2" corded right-angle drill I had but it was simply too big to get the proper angle. I actually bought the Ryobi for the purpose and it has proved very useful every since--a good +-$50 investment.

And you don't need an angle guide, just eyeball it carefully and maintain the angle in-out and left-right. Use light oil for lub and place a magnet and catch-cloth under the eng where the drill will pop out. It is a bit nerve-wracking at first but is pretty simple and fast. Seal up the original 3.4 dipstick hole with a pipe-tap plug and thread seal/tape.

Already got that done today but thanks. Just have to. Modify the oil pan baffle to fit the pickup from the 3.0 then throw the oil pan on along with the clutch. Then I think it will be all ready to bolt in.

I hope you're using FIPG material, like Toyota's or Permatex's and not a gasket for your oil pan.

Be careful with the torque on the oil pan bolts. They don't take too much to twist their little heads off. Don't ask me how I know this.

Yeah I bought a tube of toyotas fipg. With how many good reviews it got on here I wasn't even about to get anything else.
Oil pan pickup and baffle are all on. Clutch and pressure plate is on and my exhaust crossover is done and on.
I also installed my ac pump. If you go to the junkyard and buy a bracket for the ac from a t100 you don't have to modify anything dealing with the thicker motor mounts. Just used a tap to chase a threaded hole in the block that wasn't used up till now.
I used my alternator from the 3.0 cause I remember reading some stuff about clearancing issues with the 3.4 bracket and now my wiring is all the same. The top mount for the alternator was barely thicker couldn't even tell with the naked eye but a second with my grinder on the alternator fixed that. I also used the bottom adjuster bracket from the 3.0 there was a threaded hole for it in the block above the thermostat that I used my tap to chase the theads on again since it wasn't used before. Then I had to grind a tiny bit off of the bottom of the bracket so it didn't bind on the block behind the thermostat housing.
Power steering pump is also on and I cleaned up the engine and just quickly pressure washed the 4runners engine bay.
I have a couple more things to prepare on the 4runner but I should get the engine at least in there tomorrow and bolted up.

Just for reference, I used the 3.4 alternator that came with the engine I bought, but had to swap plugs from the 3.4 wiring harness onto the 3.0's charging circuit. Sounds like you should be good.

Good job so far. Remember, if you get to feeling down about it all, the end result is worth it. You'll see.
