so i bought a remanufactured toyota water pump from Napa. I notice it came with a paper gasket. Should i toss out the paper gasket, and use FIPG? Or the paper one?

I used fipg when I did mine 3 years ago, the paper gasket looked kind of thin. It hasn't leaked so far. Just make sure you don't overtighten the bolts and squash it all out.

thanks. i installed the new pump with out the paper gasket, and the FIPG in place. Torqued the bolts to 14lbs, should be good to go.

timing belt is the next thing on the list. found a super write up on the timing belt by the way.
