Question Really Dumb Question?????

Just got my 3.4 in and drove it down the street with the 340h behind it. I have not had the exhaust hooked upt yet so the exhaust is wide open after the crossover. I noticed the it is quite a bit doggy.

I would assume that it is due to that there is no back pressure in the exhaust causing significant performance loss and the primary o2 sensor not hooked up either. I was wondering if anyone ever took thiers out for a quick spin before hooking up the exhaust and then noticed a difference afterwards.

Like I said I would assume this to be normal just want to confirm since this a a small V6 and not a huge v8.

Oh yeah it is pretty loud too. Is that normal

I didn't really feel a difference after the exhaust and O2 sensor.

I didn't either, it ran pretty good with neither of the O2 sensors in place.

Well it runs good. Actually I cant believe how smooth it is. No o2 sensors hooked up yet. I just have to get a hood scoup and cut the hole in the hood. The hood actually close with no body lift but is very very tight and my kick down cable is very touchy. Taking it out tomorrow for the madien voyage. I should be posting up some pics.
