P0758 code 97 4runner into 95 4runner

I have been trying to get my runner ready for the ref. I had been driving around with it several times, 20-30 minutes at a time with no issues. Last week, the CEL came on and I pulled code P0758 (Shift solenoid B circuit malfunction).

I replaced all three solenoids in the trans with new ones. I tried again, erased the code and drove it for about 20 minutes. During that time, it shifted normally. Then the CEL came on again with the same code and it started revving real high ~3800 before it would shift.

My question is... Where is shift solenoid B. I gonna look at the wiring for the solenoids today, but don't know which one is gonna be "b".

Second, does overdrive have to be hooked up for the trans to function properly. The guy I got the trans from had cut the O/D wires on the shifter down to nothing so I don't have much to work with.

Thanks

What did you end up doing to solve this? (Thanks, I know the thread is ancient!)
