Exclamation ORS closed where can I get a harness and the rest of the swap stuff?

Well instead of trying to re-do my tired old 22-re I decided on doing a swap to the 3.4 but when I went to ORS website I found out they are closed.

Where can I start looking for a place to get parts for the swap?

They did mention that they would have info on a vendor that will sell their stuff, Any word on that yet?

Do it yourself. The kit wasn't worth the money in my opinion.

x2.....

they were way over priced....i just finished my sc 3.4 swap in my 94 and it was way cheaper just putting in the time and finding the parts myself and with some help from TMZ we hammered out my wiring....

had an exhaust shop build my crossover pipe with new 2 1/2 all the way back to a magnaflow.....

and the crossover was built to match the motor and my runner....

there are plenty of people who have done the swap you will be able to find all your answers here....just need to put in some phone time to hunt down all the parts....

x3...Most of the parts come off of your old 3.0. Seeing as you didn't have a 3.0, I would say a junk yard would be your friend. You need the oil sender. Oil pan and pickup tube, splash plate. Radiator, starter is optional.

thanks guys, I do have a lead on a 3.4 and 5-speed trans for $1000. the guy says it has everything with the engine including the A/c and power steering.

I was really nervous about the wiring but if there is help out there I will deff try that route.

Also glad to hear it can be done cheaper cause I am broke right now, who isn't right? things always need $$ when it isn't there.

Thanks guys!!

You can also check with Vital22RE, i know he has done several trucks and knows his way around the wiring setup.

I would talk to Vital22re. He helped Topher on his 3.4 swap and really know his stuff. We started on Saturday around 11 and by that evening the motor was in and alot of the work was done. Topher had the 3.4 kit from ORS so we didn't have to worry about the wiring, but Vital22re did his own wiring and it looks great. Also talk to Topher if you need some 3.0 parts because he has tons of parts sitting around the shop.

There is lots of help out there now with the wiring in differs from year to year. So you want as much info about the engine and the donor vehicle as you can get. Vin #, odometer reading, everything. For a grand do you get the evap box, VSV, mass air flow meter, and the ignition control module, basically everything off of the firewall and fenderwalls? Cause you want as much of that as you can. And when you grab the ECU be sure to grab the dash wire to the ECU cause I forgot to do that, now just waiting for the cash to go to a yard and get them.

heh, i guess i'm one of the go to guys for this... Just make sure you read all the write ups everyone has done for the 3.4 swaps atleast twice. Then when you think you're up to it, find a COMPLETE doner vehicle. You need just about everything under the hood and the plugs for the ecu and obd2 harness from under the dash. Having all the parts when you begin makes the whole swap go a lot faster and easier.

okay so I had to pass on the "complete" engine because it was no where near COMPLETE, I did track another down but it has 200K on it. It is still in a 96 T-100 so I can get everything.

What do you think? keep looking?

T100 5 speed. That's the one you want. Mileage is kinda high but I would seriously consider it. Has the right oil pan already. Dipstick in the right spot.
