Okay found a wrecked 2001 tacoma, guy said its runs like crap but can be rebuilt. Problem is on drivers side rear cylinder. anyways it's as complete as can be, still in truck. He said I can have everything I need to do my swap for $500.

My question: Is it worth it? how much is it to rebuild these engines?

 

idk... doesnt seem like that great of a deal. if you have the space, do what i did. get a whole truck thats been rolled. part everything out and get a free motor

 

For real! I havent been able to find one, expect maybe this one. I'll ask the guy. If I do that do you think it would be worth the engine work?

do you know why its running like crap? bad coil? cracked plug? low compression? if its an easy fix.. may be worth it
