I put mine in the glove box. Actually above the glove box there is a flat, vertical plastic area of plastic so it stick out straight to receive the plug from a scanner.

With the glove box closed, its hidden and open it to access.

Stock wires reach without having to extend them. Works perfect.

Every one we've put in the "stock" location. That way anyone else has little clue that motor wasn't put in there by Toyota

Mine's stuffed back down in the kick panel to where I can pull it out the top if necessary. OBDII reader stays in glovebox at the ready.

I ran the wires across and put mine in the factory location as well, just screwed it in under the dash.

Got any pics of it?
I have the wire run under the steering wheel but I'm not sure where to put this thing so that when the plug is push and pull it won't pull it out over time.
