Hesitates under load until WOT

I have a 92 4runner with a 3.4l swap. I did not do the original swap, I bought it with a blown 3.4l. I bought a junkyard 3.4l from a 96 t100 and swapped it out. It fires up and runs, idles good, it hesitates under a load until you hit WOT then it's like a snap of your fingers and it takes off. It runs at wot like there is nothing wrong. I don't have a obd2 port yet, one is in the mail, but I'm trying to get some preliminary things to look for.

Things that I have done.
New plugs, wires, coils, tps, cleaned maf, tracked down vacuum leaks.

I do not have the o2 sensors hooked and I realize that they play a role, however it does not run any different whether it's cold or hot and if I understand correctly the ecu doesn't take into consideration the o2 sensors when cold?

Annnd another thing worth mentioning, the ecu is for an auto and the 4runner has a manual.

Does anyone what the ecu ignores at wot?

If this were my vehicle, I would get the OBD2 system working so I could see if any codes are being set, as well as the ability to hook up a scan tool and look at some live engine data. Is the check engine light on?

It does sound like a sensor input problem that the computer needs for regular, non-Wide Open Throttle conditions.

The oxygen sensors are quite important to the way the engine runs, so I would also get those hooked up before going too much further. We know that the oxygen sensors are not hooked up like they are supposed to be, so fixing that will help eliminate possible problems by something you already know is wrong.

Well, I wired up the obd2 port. I can connect to my adapter but my adapter cannot connect to the ecu. I have the signal wire going to E12 pin 18 which is what I found to be the right pin.. Any suggestions? Does anything else need to be wired up on the ecu in order for that signal wire to work?
