I thought I would take a moment and show how my dash-ecm-engine harness on my swap will finish out.
I might try to get my stuff together and scan up my connections; was a 99 5VZ 5spd into a 95 3VZE auto.
Original harness, 3VZ ecm missing NO!! DONT PULL ON THAT STRING! lol Over view of final adapter Final resting spot
Sorry! I thought I had resized all these.
Anyway, I tested all my connections, and did this over several months, actually. So I would go back and think "What in the cat hair was I thinking!?"
All my connections are continuous, I wired in A/C (hoping all the posts about only needing 'AC' to ac controller - but I ran the "AC1 wire" and it is just dangling by the controller for now. JIC.
The 5' will go where the 3vz ecm was, just upside down (connectors will be upwards). Doesn't show in pics, but the engine harness is not stuffed into firewall yet. Hoping I have enough length to work alright. Think so. I re-did some original ecm brackets so I will have a fix point on either side of the ECM.
Had to also add in all the OBD, and rewired the 5VZ engine harness for the manual tranny speed sensor. Plus will use 95 cruise. Guess we will know how poorly I did when I get it put together. The motor is at a shop now, he should have the machine work done later this week I think. So hopefully can get some major progress done here soon.
