desprate for 3.4 swap help
hello, long story short swapped 3.4 from 1996 t100 into 1991 toyota pickup. i've verified my wiring 4 times now but i found i have a short somewhere but am unable to locate it
when i connect my black white starter wire to the computer the fuel pump turns on due to there being a positive signal coming out of the starter. i then tested and found on i have a short somewhere in my veichle probaly due to my electric fan shorting out right before my swap.
ive unplugged the alternator, tried a new battery, checked my body harness wiring, but with little luck. if anybody has any easy tricks for finding a short i would greatly appeciate it.

idk if you sorted this out yet,
"when i connect my black white starter wire to the computer the fuel pump turns on due to there being a positive signal coming out of the starter. "
it sounds like you connected your relay wire to your starter wire circuit as well. I've used the "FC" terminal off of my ECU to send the signal to my COR(circuit Opening Relay) to get the fuel pump going.
I've used a multi meter and check for continuity. For example if I know a "hot wire" 12v + isn't supposed to be grounded(if it was it would short the circuit, start a fire/blow a fuse) I'd check a near by ground to see if the multi meter will beep and start that way. I'm by no means a professional mechanic, just another guy that has done the swap as well. Hope this helps and if I'm wrong then by all means correct me! you can reach me @whereistheroad on instagram or slide into my DM's
