I've got a 95 Pickup that originally had cruise control, but now has a 3.4 from an 03 Tacoma. I haven't been able to find any information that works with this engine combo. Still have all the original parts except the cable can't connect to the 03 throttle body. I'm considering giving one of these kits a try thecruisecontrolstore.com. Although i'd much prefer keeping the original buttons on the steering wheel.
You need to determine if you have a mechanical or electrical speedometer, as that will likely determine your options.
I've seen at least a few (very few though) references to guys adapting the 22re actuator/servo to use in their 5vzfe swapped rig. The key on that is the 22re actuator/servo is mounted on the passenger side of the engine bay so the cable reaches the throttle body better.
That's about all I can provide on the topic for your year 4Runner. Mine is an 89 and actuated via the gas pedal so it's a completely different setup.
That is not the case.
You could make that setup work if you had an early style 5vzfe with drive by cable. This throttle body of yours is drive by wire, thus it needs no actuator and no cruise control module - it is all done by the engine ecu and stepper motor built in the throttle body as the only control.
Remove the actuator and the module, rewire steering wheel buttons to the new ecu as per wiring diagram and you're good to go.
