Hey Austin. Can you post a pic of your alternator bracket so I know where to cut it?

No idea on the oil pan/dipstick drilling....you may have to PM one of the guy's who has done it. I did read ORS offers "dipstick drilling kits" though

Awesome Thanks for the pics. And ya I saw that on ORS. it's like 15 bucks. Just need a good enough drill bit I guess. They said to flip it upside down in their guide. It seems pretty straight forward. Think I'm just going to go at it.

So I assume I need a different p/s pump bracket. I got the pump and pulley off the 3.4 but can't mount it. Alternators good :-). A/ c compressor bracket doesn't match up either but I'm going without a/c because I don't have R134 so it's like $130 a pound to recharge. Maybe in the future ill convert it.

Don't forget to save and use your banjo bolt from the stock 3.0 PS pump. It's a bit shorter and seals up. Using the 3.4 one will cause a leak.

Are you saying that the 3.4 power steering bracket doesn't fit on your 3.4 motor?

Also I used the stock 3.0 AC pump and swapped on the 3.4 pulley. It bolts right on to the 3.4 motor. Mine was a 95 and was already 134. I've also had good luck with those Wal-Mart r12 r134 conversion kits. Just replace the drier and fill er up.

I couldn't fit my a/c compressor/bracket or my p/s bracket. Maybe I just had it wrong. And good to know about the conversion of a/c and the banjo bolt. Thanks for the info.

Ordered the right oil pan pick-up from ORS today. Got a good deal it was sent back so $145 pretty stoked. Going to get the oil dip stick and o ring from the local toyota Monday. Anyone have any experience with the AISIN clutch kit? Found one for a good price online thinking about getting that tomorrow.

I'm running an aisin clutch on my 3.4 right now. Great clutch IMO

I just got the power steering pump/pulley off of my donor 3.4, I did Not get the bracket. Same thing with my a/c bracket. It's off of my 3.0. I'm assuming after being lost on it for a few days I need the brackets off of the 3.4l/donor?

If your reffering to the fuse box under the hood you will use your 3.0 one. You will just have to run a no less then a 5 or 6' 4 gauge subwoofer amp power cable from your fuse box to your battery which will end up being on the driver side. you will also need (2) crimp on lugs for each end of that wire. Look into DNTSDAD's 3.4 swap 101 thread on what im talkin about. super easy to do. glad to hear of some progress!

I think you are going to need a EVAP box for your 3.4

Sorry keep coming with questions. Just wanna get as much as I can afford at the salvage yard. So 5vz there's no distributor. There's a TDI(toyota direct ignition). I assume I need to get that.
Second I didn't mean an Evap box. I don't even know what that is. I was thinking of the Charcoal canister. Thought that was an Evap box. And should I get all the wires/hoses that plug into that? Thanks guys

You dont need anything for the ignition. everything for your ignition will be done in the wiring portion. Hoping some other guys can jump on here and help you with the EVAP box and charcoal canister stuff. IF the donor truck had the EVAP box and charcoal canister then your motor will need it.

I got my oil pan kit. Plugged the front hole(put some jb weld on the threads to ensure a good seal) drilled out my new dip stick hole, and put that all together. I got my braxkets for a/c compressor abd p/s pump but will wait till the engines in to put those on. heard its easier to line it up without them. Now I'm currently waiting on a crossover pipe so I can drop the engine In. Unfortunately knowone I know will make if for me without the truck and engine at there house :-/, so I sent mine in to toyonlyswaps yesterday. Hoping it'll come in a week or so. Other than that I have to make my battery harness, order a battery tray, and make some mounts for my charcoal canister/re-route my coolant overflow. I ordered a wiring conversion kit from ORS. Hoping it makes life easier, but its going to be a while until I get that. Did anyone do a hood scoop rather than the body lift? Is it pretty easy to get measurements to cut my hood?

I can't locate your build thread Austin. I looked on my old thread wasn't there anymore. Maybe it's because I'm on my phone. Could ya put a link up again for me?
And I got a few things here.
First. -DNTSDADS 3.4l swap 101 suggests two battery trays to buy (one or the other). But both are for Optima battery's which I don't have, nor am I going to buy right away. I'd think mine would fit, but don't wanna buy a $80 battery tray and not have it fit. Anyone have any of these trays with a different battery?
Second- I'm getting a cool air intake ordered this week.
I'm debating on Volant or k&n, any suggestions?
