Im doing the 3.4 swap into a 91 4runner. I got a donor 3.4 4runner so i have the entire wring harness. Im planning on splicing the 3.4 and the 3.0 harnesses together in the rear for the tailgate. If anyone has wiring diagrams for the 3.4 and the 3.0 harnesses before the rear window relay/box that would be great. the 3.4 wiring is out of a 96 4runner.

 

Although I do not get what your goal here is, usually the "overall wiring diagram" is most accurate IMO and would cover everything in the vehicles.

I used a 95 4runner overall for swaps in a 92 pickup and a 93 runner and it was perfect on both.

My specific model diagrams for both above vehicles were off a bit.

 

I did that EXACT swap, look at my swap thread (link in my sig), I posted the all the connections I made for my conversion harness.

Yeah you don't have to do any wiring for the rear tailgate to work. You're just wiring in the dash functions plus a handful more necessary wires. Maybe we aren't understanding what youre trying to do here.
