Yep, all the hard work finally paid off. I changed the exhaust and was driving the following Sunday.

The only drivetrain upgrade anyone really has to worry about is the valve body on autos.

I'm glad the Air Care stations in Colorado are easy to fool. I've been through 4 tests so far and have not been questioned yet.

I like the 98-99 engines. They have the most "self contained" harness. The engine to body harness is easier to build. I try to stay away from pre 97 stuff because they don't like the forced induction as much.

I'd have to agree with the fat kid. I thiink it was a mid year change in 97 because have done the swap twice in the same truck I worked with two different motor/harness set ups and the 98 was much friendlier. One thing I noticed though was that mine did not have EGR, VSV, EVAP connectors on the harness. Going to be a problem for me later when I have to go through what cadman just finished. The body to body adapter was pretty easy once I figured out with systems I was dealing with.
