Bought me a voltmeter....there is power to ignitor and ECU, but it seems the ecu is not working....no check engine light when ignition is on "on".....
Anyone know if I can use another ecu? Could I use a tacoma or 4runner from 1996-1997 that is a manual trans?
Donor is a 1997 T100, 2WD, Manual trans.
Thanks in advance

I had the same problem, no start and no CEL when you turn the key on, turned out to be the MAF, it was shorted internally and sent back feed to the ecu. I didn't think it would be the MAF because it wasn't those symptoms but it was. I chased this for a few days! I bought another ecu and it did the same. I would unplug one sensor at a time and check it again at the CEL to see it turns on, it could be something else but i would check this first

Where are you checking for power to your ECU? On mine I have IH1-10 to E12-14, and IH1-16 to II3-16. Former is to ECU "Batt". Latter is ECM +B. I'd be getting on the phone with ORS, if you haven't already. They should support this.

Been really busy with work lately and haven't had the chance of working on it till this week..actually only took 2 days.....
IT'S ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Problem was the VP sensor, it was shorting out the ecu, all I did was unplug it, scanner read the ecu and bam! turned key

Taking it to the muffler shop tomorrow
Been driving it around my yard, thermostat was stuck so I removed it (for now). Radiator seems to be working fine, no leaks, steering column is hitting the alternator, but i will be changing my steering setup in a few weeks so no biggie. Can't really run the motor hard to really feel the gain till I break in the motor and clutch. So far all is good
Can't wait to hear what the exhaust will sound like, I did a lot of youtube research for the right sound hahahaha I hope it pays off......

Drove it home from the muffler shop today and it sounds perfect for what I wanted! Thank you youtube lol. Throttle response is amazing and has lots of power. Really enjoying the sound of the intake too. Idle is really high so hope to get that fixed soon. I read twice here where the IAC Valve was replaced so I might just end up doing that. Throttle cable is not pulling so I think the IAC is the culprit. All in all, really enjoying the swap even though I only drove it less than 4 miles
