vacum/intake or fuel problem??????
I just done a motor swap to my truck. (because it kind of went though a little too much water and blew the engine.)
Then engine I put in was a carbed engine but I put all the fuel injection back on. Now I can not find any leak or hoses off. The truck runs just fine as long as the peddale is pressed just the slightest amont. It also will not start unless the pedal is pressed down a bite.
One think I have noticed . when you turn the key to the on position but no start the truck you can hear under the hood like the fuel pump turning on but it does not shut off. I felt the gas line and it feels like it is pumping gas though it but the engine is not running.
Any suggestions where to check first would be great .

If you need to touch the throttle, I would measure your TPS and make sure it is adjusted properly.

Hmmm. The fuel pump only cylces on while cranking the motor over, then continues to run until the motor stops. It shouldn't be running with the key on engine off. Do you have the fuel pump test connector shorted?

the pump test is not shorted. Is there anything else that could cause the pump not to shut of when engine is not running and key is on?
