Too much tranny fluid a problem?

This morning I checked my tranny fluid since I've been leaking fluids from just about everywhere possible, and it was a little low. It probably only could have used half a quart (in hindsight), but I put 1 quart in. I dont want to waste a thread for something like this but I can't afford to damage anything else as I've broken enough already

Do I need to drain any or will she be ok?

Thanks!

not sure how much .5 quart is in the 3.0 tranny but just check the dipstick.....there are usually ranges "Cold I I Hot I I" if it is over then I would just crank the drain a little and try to measure .5 quart out. Its kinda a pain but its worth it to be on the safe side...

Usually overfilling results in fluid being aerating the fluid which isnt good for its lubercating effect, increased heat, foaming and it will come out of the vent. Draining it you will only get about 2 quarts out or so...I'm talking about an automatic btw....Only manuals I owned you filled them till they overflowed through the fill so I'm assuming your talking about an auto....
