getting hot at 65

it was doing good there for awhile. rebuilt engine, vacuum troubles had been taken care of, got a new pair of shoes, all seemed very well..... then at speeds above 65 it decides to rapidly gain temprature. so far i have changed the thermostat, removed the radiator and flushed it out, replaced the upper radiator hose, took the water pump driven fan off and shoved in an electric one, checked the temp probe in the intake manifold. timing is right where it needs to be but have played with it to see if it makes a difference, it doesn't. the coolant even flows the right way so i don't think i got a backwards impeller on the water pump (it's happened to my dad and he told me to check)
anybody have any thoughts, tips, tricks or whatever to possibly help me in my heated state?

Have you done a pressure test on the system yet?

My '85 did the same, turned out to be a partially cloged radiator. Look inside the filler on yours and have a look at the cooling passages. If there is buildup inside, consider having the core rodded at a shop or just pop for a new 3-row radiator.

I thought this thread was going to be about a geriatric fixation.
