exhaust
alright then, here is what i invision for my exhaust on my truck when i can find a decent welding shop. header coming off the engine dumping into a side by side dual pipe all the way back into dual flowmasters, then dumping out behind the back wheel. does this seem retarded or am i on to something here.

Well, I am no engineer, but that still sounds like not enough back pressure for that engine. If you have to have duals, you may want to consider a single in dual out flowmaster (with very small outlet diameters). Or, a single all the way into dual out at the tip. You can do whatever you want, but I am just trying to save you the hassle of driving around at 5K RPM all day to get anywhere.

I second that.

......after the header you can get the most power w/o exhaust, the least amount of restriction after a tuned header will give you the best performance.....
reason i say this is because my wrx produced more power with the catback off the car (less backpressure) then with it installed (more backpressure)....it was only about 5hp and was on the same dyno day.....
of course it had alot of 3" pipe before that.....so i'm not exactly sure what the trick is...

You will have no torque if you run a freeflow sytem like that on a 22r. As far as turbo charged vehicles--the less restriction the better. For N/A vehicles you need some back pressure. I can't understand why I see all these ricers with fart cans on their civics. They have no torque in their vehicles to begin with, then they have to put a fart can on it.
