Post AMSOIL At major retailers

Can I find AMSOIL at any major autopart retailers here in washington...? All the numbers I've been given by AMSOIL are to residences and not one of them has called me back...

Do I need to just buy it from their website or what...? It just seems weird that in order to buy it I have to call someone at home and not go to the parts store.

GI Joes has it. I think I may have seen it at B&B Auto as well, but that may have been the Redline line I saw there. NAPA Auto parts carries Royal Purple, which I am goign to try in my Explorer.

Does anyone know of a major retailer in the Denver area? I want to buy the air filter but I'd like to see it before I buy it.

I've heard of royal purple, but is it as good as amsoil and is it 100% synthetic?

RP is 100% synthetic. I don't know how it compares to Amsoil, but I have raves about it. Once you get to talking about the premium synthetics like RP, Amsoil, and Redline if there is a huge difference between them anyway, or if you are jsut splitting hairs. Anyway, my intention is to try the RP in my Explorer and Amsoil in the Toy at the next oil change, then I can make a real comparison.

If AMSOIL was readily available in retail stores it would totally mess up the huge Multi Level Marketing scam they have going.

Supply and demand rules apply here. If you can't find AMSOIL for sale, buy normal Synth fluids in a normal store, its just as good despite what the MLM deciples tell you.

Maybe that will get some readers of the Maint. board fired up.

Motorcycle shops are often good sources for fluids.

I think I saw a sign at the local independent Chevron dealer (the old-fashioned kind that still does repairs, etc.) advertising AMSOIL.

I run Royal Purple in my truck. It's readily available and dyno proven to add HP and Torque.

I'm not sure how Amsoil is a MLM. I order direct from the company, the guy who signed me up doesn't see anything from my order, unless Amsoil informs him. I suppose if you bought everything through your sponsor it could be considered MLM.

There is a big difference between Mobil1, Syntech, etc, and Amsoil. It's easy to see in test results done by independant shops. It's easy to see in the simple tests at car shows too, should you come across someone with the displays. They just try a little harder, and don't make compromises in their lubricity package.

Scott.475 - my wife called a RP wholesaler and they gave her the name of a parts store in our area (Westbay auto parts) that purchases RP from them...so she called westbay auto parts and they placed the order for her and she picked it up the next day.

I can give you the number to that warehouse in Tacoma if you want, just let me know because the Napa's I went to over here only carried the motor oil and I needed the fuel system cleaner too...

Redline products are fairly easy to find (see my bike shop suggestion above!).

I don't know about a "major retailer", but I am about to sign up as a dealer for them. I'm going to order one of these for my own 4runner, if you want to take a look at it just let me know, or even throw it in yours and go for a drive to see if you like it.
