4 cyl. to 6 cyl transplant. (Is it Possible?)
Did a brief search, but did not find an answer. Actually saw a thread here, but now can't find it.
I have a 1998 Tacoma 4X4 with a 4 Cyl. engine.
Other than replacinging it with a Chevy small block, has any one put a 3.4litre V6 in this style truck?
What is involved?
Current motor firing on 3.5 cylinders. According to the dealer, possible burned valve. But after 361,000 + miles I have no complaints. Just wondering.
Any suggestions welcome.
Thanks

I'd assume you'd need a complete donor vehicle to swap from.
Motor, transmission, drivelines, ecu wiring, power steering stuff.
I don't know if you'd need to cut and reweld the engine mounts on the frame
