Talking 3RZ here i come!

Ive decided to pull my 22RED and throw in a 3rz ive spent the last 4 hours looking for a motor and even donor vehicles.
ebay is a no go local wrecking yards are a no go.
I cant find any wrecked trucks without them being an auction scheduled for 3 years in advance if anyone knows any good websites for donor vehicles or motors it would be appreciated.

Completed the 3RZ swap in my 87 4Runner a couple of years ago. Call B&R Auto Wrecking, A&G Auto Wecking (Creswel), or Glenwood Auto Parts (Creswel). They are all very helpful in finding a good engine for a conversion. Request the complete engine wiring harness and ECU. Lot's of resources in the area. Good luck

Found a lot of parts using www.car-part.com. Allows you to search all the wrecking yards. Found a few 3RZ's this evening using Car-Part.com.

Mechanically the swap is fairly easy. I used motor mounts from Chilkat Designs (Marcola). You will need to replace the bellhousing with a bell housing from a W59 transmission. The oil pan will need to be replaced with a rear sump pan from a T100. It will need to be modified to fit. Chilkat sells the modified pan or they will modify yours if you provide. The oil pickup will need to be replaced with parts from the T100 for rear sump. Fuel supply line needs to be extended and routed inside the engine compartment to the driver's side or the line re-routed from the tank on the driver's side. The fuel return line needs to be routed to the driver's side as well. The clutch tube from the master to the slave cylinder needs to modified since the slave is on the driver's side.

Check out the 3RZ Knowledge pages on Marlin Crawler's forum. Lot's of info.

After installing the engine, I had ToyOnly Swaps in Creswel complete the wiring conversion. Junction City Muffler completed the custom exhaust.

Good luck

Wow thanks for that info I've looked into it a bunch.
Kenny did my exhaust now.
All the 3rz's on car-parts are $1150+
Is that normal?

motor pricing seems about right. I paid $1350 for a 2002 engine with 80,000 miles.
