4.3 vortec is popular for so many reasons. It's a powerful engine, gets great mileage, and because you'd be slapping it into such a lightweight truck, you can probably just keep the engine itself stock. I'm not sure what people think of a 4.3's torque VS a Toy rearend but, s10 and blazer rearends can't be bigger than a 8" right? I'm bored at work so basically I'm just musing. 4.3s sound good too with just a couple flow masters.

Thanks but I would like to try to put a diesel in it maybe a 4BT just because it is a diesel and diesels run in the family and I feel like an outcast with a Toyota

You can modify a tdi to around 200hp 350ft lbs and get 35 mpg

Look up tdi club
