I'll chime in with one. Make sure the person you help at least understands his vehicle.

I pulled up to a guy that had slipped off the side of the road years ago to pull him back up the embankment. I had him hook up the chain (I know) to his Jeep so I couldn't be blamed for where he hooked it. He wrapped it around the tie rod end and when I put tension on it with my truck (1 ton Ford at that time) of course the TRE let go. As we were driving back towards a truck stop to make a phone call I mentioned that it was odd for a 4x4 to get stuck like that....... his response was "Oh crap! I should have put it in 4 wheel drive!!!". Nice guy with his very first Jeep Cherokee (spelling?) Limited and it sure was a nice looking rig. We had a good laugh over that and a beer or two while he waited for the tow truck.
