All that stuff most of us dont carry will be gold in the coming american revolution.When we get enough of socialism/government control and being taxed to death.When U.S. currency is worth nothing and the whole economy implodes from the strain of massive debt.We will need all the supplies we can get our hands on.Just a thought.

Thats a great site. I have priced those V chains almost everywhere else and they were $10 to $30 more.

The thing wrapped in the brown plastic bag is an OEM alternator.

wow thanks for all of the list and idea's guys. i just got an 87' 4runner and i have been trying to figure out what to amass as far as tools and recovery equipment go. nice to see what every one carry's from basic DD-to- extreme DD. my supply will most likely fall under extreme i have been known to see a dirt road and go exploring for a few hours lol. so having the tools are parts are oing to be a must.

Man I feel like this thread was meant for me lol After looking through some of your guy's stuff (and being very impressed) I realized that i have an extreme amount of more survival type gear, and nowhere near the proper amount of recovery/parts gear. ...... hafta work on that. But first i want to get all the current gear out to take some measurements of the back of the runner and hopefully design some better kind of storage system before i add more stuff to carry. Right now its just two tool boxes, an lbv and a small molly sack all strapped down for the survival gear, and as far as parts goes i only have a box of fluids. Thanks for all the inspiration and ideas

 

Why did I reread this thread? Now I feel like I need more shtuff. Oh well I guess I will have to find an excuse to carry it.
