Trail Gear Sas Kit?

I was reading about the trail gear kit and noticed that it says its for solid axle from 81 and up. I just got a 1980 axle, does anyone no the difference of the two axles. What am i goin to have to do to covert it? Thanks guys!

it says it in the directions. but i dont see why it wouldnt work

AFAIK the only difference is the lower reinforcement that the later axles have...

The ubolts are also different because the truss on the bottom of the driver side does not go all the way to the knuckle.

So when you buy one of these kits from marlin or all-pro, do you need to specify which model year axle you are using? I've never seen where they ask.

Some companies ask when you order and some just send both square and round bolts. I believe TG usually sends out both

hey guy i got a question i have a 1998 toyota 4runner 2wd i have got some of my 4wd conversion parts but i was wondering these kits you can buy to convert you 4runner to sas. the ones form marlin and trail gear say there for a ---- to a 1995 would they work one my 98 or do i need to get it from somewhere else and if so where from.
