I had a shop weld the front hanger for me. That's one piece you want to make sure it's straight. I did it while driving around with IFS.

I would use any 220V machine...at least a 175/180 to insure good heat and penetration. You can line it up yourself with some welding 90 degree magnets, some C clamps and a level. Just make sure to thoroughly clean and prep the metal you are welding, i.e., remove the paint, rust, etc and then wipe it down. You want good, strong, junk and booger free welds.
Install instructions are on my website for the kit your ordered.

If you have any questions, just email or call.

here are some tips for you as I go thru and do mine:
If using a sawzall, buy plenty of blades. And buy the long ones too.
Loosen the torsion bar as much as you possibly can, THEN unbolt it from the upper a-arm. THEN you can remove the 3 bolts holding the A-arm down, and pop it off. As for the lowers....F' 'em.....cut 'em the hell off.

don't be too confident on the cutting wheels dude....the steel Toyota used will chew and shred those things pretty quick. Trust me when I say a sawzall would help a LOT

well after some tool searching i looked at my huge air compressor i have and said hmm i wonder if they make an air sawzall...low and behold they do. The 12 volt sawzall does 2500 SPM and the air sawzall does 10,000 SPM and the air sawzall is only 40 bucks more then the 12 volt sooo i should be able to cut through that with ease....hopefully

so long as you spend the money on good blades (name brand).....but they're relatively cheap anyways.

things you can do before the swap:

Get a 1 3/4" hole saw for the shackle sleeves, cut the frame using the jig.

weld the front spring hanger on (3/4" forward if you have a 3.slow)

Weld the bump stops onto the u bolt flip plate (and then paint)

I'd also paint most of the shock hoop too, aside from the portion to be welded and the supports. And paint the steering arms too.

here's a tip for ya too.....after you cut most of the main metal off, if you're really good with the cutting wheel, cut just along side the welded portion of the brackets. That will knock off most of the metal and leave you very little to grind down, mainly the weld. Make sure you don't cut into the frame though! Or if you do, throw some weld into it.

cool deal

One thing I noticed is all the bearing races in my knuckes were pristine, no scratches, dings, etc., even the bearings were still decent.

I should be doing the same thing tonight myself, and trying to hang the axle if I can get some manpower to help move the fckin thing haha.
